Academy of Music & Sound

This is an opportunity that may be of interest to students who are 16 and over and are looking to working and gaining a career in the music industry. On the 10th of April, we will be running a free week intensive course called Introduction to Employability in the Music Industry (Music Management). The aim of the course is to help candidates develop their understanding of the requirements of the workplace, focusing on the challenges and requirements of working in this fast-paced environment. In addition, participants will be given a broad overview of what it means to be an artist manager in the music industry. Following an interview on the final day of the course, successful candidates will have the opportunity to take up a 1 week work experience with Post Electric Studio. Clark Contracts is holding a careers event for apprenticeship and traineeship career opportunities at Gate 55, Sighthill on Thursday 20 April 2017. The construction, refurbishment and maintenance contractor is offering 12 - 15 apprenticeships and traineeships for various trades, quantity surveying, construction management, site management and administration. The event is being held on Thursday 20 April from 3.30pm - 6.30pm at Gate 55, Sighthill EH11 4PB.
